The DJ Expo in the US is one of the yearly exhabitions where manufacturers introduce new gear. Last week Denon allready announced their new twin deck the Denon DN-HC4500 and now they reveiled a small part of what their future looks like.
Denon holds their mouths about specifications and details of this deck. Some have leaked out and can be made up from the picture, originally shot by someone from the Denon Forums.
All buttons and function from previes models seem to be in place. One thing is different, at the right top of the platter are 3 button : PC, Midi and Device. This could mean the the deck might be a controller for PC software of some kind. Also MIDI would add a lot of possibilities to the deck so you can use it as an controller for PC software like Traktor DJ or Ableton.
The other thing noticable is a big tilted LCD display. There doesn't seem to be a graphical overview or Wafeform display in it. But at the model shown at DJExpo will probably be a sample model so features and look will possible not be final.
Some Features
- There is no drive unit in this deck
- Spinning platter like the DN-S3500
- Playing an Alpha track is not possible
